RES are constructing the Craiggore and Evishagaran wind farms on behalf of ERG UK.  Throughout the construction we continue to proceed with caution at every stage and we are working closely with our contractors to follow our bespoke COVID-19 management plan. The plan involves enhanced hygiene measures and social distancing as well as plans for how we distance ourselves from the local community to make sure everyone is safe.

Collectively the projects will deliver approximately £20 million to the Northern Ireland economy during the construction phase, in the form of jobs, employment, and the use of local services.  Once operational the two wind farms will contribute approximately £522,000 per annum or £13.78 million over the lifetime of the projects, in business rates supporting the council to deliver the strategic outcomes identified in the Causeway Coast & Glens Community Plan.

Craiggore and Evishagaran will also contribute to the local community through a community fund worth more than £4.5 million. For organisational purposes, a shared fund will be set up for the projects, which will provide direct funding to a range of groups and will also be open to applications annually from the surrounding communities. We will be finalising the design of the fund over the coming months and the first payments will be made once both wind farms become operational.

Both projects are expected to be fully operational by the end of 2021.
